Donations to the Friends of Barker Field account with the Recreation & Parks Foundation are most welcome. Donations to Friends of Barker Field are tax-deductable, and will be acknowledged with a letter of receipt by the Rec & Parks Foundation. The city's Dept. of Works provides basic maintenance including carting off the fecal matter of our dogs, cutting grass & weeds, repair of ditches, &c. All else that makes the dog park fit for use is provided by volunteer effort and donated funds. We need a few thousand dollars in our account, and may campaign for more if some improvement depends on it... Donate freely: Charge your donation to a credit or debit card on-line using the Rec & Parks Foundation's Secure Web Page. Mail a check payable to Friends of Barker Field, c/o Richmond Rec & Parks Foundation; 6 North Laurel St; Richmond, VA 23220. Give cash or a check to an officer or board member campaigning for funds at Barker Field. They will have a receipt book and write you a receipt.
